We're holding open auditions this Sunday for our student short film "Snap" at James Madison University on Sunday, October 14 at 2pm. We will be gathering in room 309 of Taylor Hall. This is no-pay but all actors will receive a DVD copy of the finished film.

The film is about a father who is the head of a dysfunctional family finds himself in a dead end job at the local police station and his son is the center of a police case he is part of.
Character Descriptions:
Roland – Man in his mid to late 40s. He feels like he doesn’t have any support to do good anymore. His relationship with his wife, Kathy, is strained, but he still loves her. He wants things better for his family, but doesn’t know how to do it. He c
an’t get out of his head and see the world around him. He’s in a dead end job at the local police station where the Sheriff wants him to quit.
Kathy – Woman in her early to mid 40s. She loves her husband, Roland, and her son, Trent. She’s frustrated with Roland, because he is stuck inside himself.
Sheriff – Man in his early 50s. He’s been the sheriff for years, likes things the way they are, and isn’t ready to retire. He wants Roland gone, but doesn’t fire him. He sees Roland’s potential as a leader and wants to make him look bad. Instead, he pressures Roland to quit.
Liam – Younger than Roland. He and Roland are partners and have been friends for a while. He has Roland’s back no matter what, and understands Roland doesn’t want to make trouble. He deeply respects Roland.
Wyatt – Man in his late 20s. Nice guy. Get’s along with everyone in the department. Doesn’t know how to work the department politics.
Secretary – Woman in her 30s. Small role. She answers the phone and handles paperwork.
Teacher – Woman in her late 20s, early 30s. She’s a teacher at the local middle school who is a witness to the event.
